GENERAL LABORER

Job Description:

Perform tasks involving physical labor at building construction, specialty cleaning, and demolition projects. Will operate hand and power tools. Will clean and prepare sites, and clean up debris. Must be able to lift fifty pounds. Competitive starting wage based on experience, 401K, medical benefits and PTO, and uniform provided. Pre-employment drug screen, background check and valid driver’s license required.

The General Laborer responsibilities and duties include:

  • Light Carpentry
  • Mop, brush or spread cleaning solutions or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection.
  • Spray materials to clean, coat or seal surfaces.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Load, unload and identify building materials, equipment, and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
  • Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters, painters and water technicians
  • Demolish structures and salvage useful materials.
  • Power washing
  • May perform other duties as necessary or required.

CLEANING TECHNICIAN

Job Description:

Immediate opening for a potentially full-time position as a technician with an established, locally-owned, expanding disaster recovery company which operates in a team environment throughout NE Ohio.

An ideal candidate will utilize excellent, personal decision-making and communication skills, approach jobs with compassion and urgency, and will thrive in an ever-changing work environment, efficiently following established technical procedures and processes while maximizing customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. The Cleaning Technician responsibilities and duties include:

  • Work in team environment within a stable and expanding locally-owned company
  • Work directly with customers in their home or place of business
  • Document work performed and follow client-driven guidelines through a program-based IPad and/or smart phone app
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures, especially as they apply to achieving successful target objectives and scores with insurance carriers and clients
  • Perform mitigation and cleaning of properties and contents damaged by water, fire, smoke, storm or otherwise affected
  • Perform routine cleaning of equipment, vehicles, and facility
  • Occasionally assist in remediation of mold and other environmental issues
  • Occasionally assist or perform carpet and floor care cleaning, as well as other building maintenance tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

The Cleaning Technician candidate will display the following:

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work in compromised working conditions
  • Ability to work in situations with minimal supervision
  • Possess a full range of body motions and be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds to perform regular duties
  • Ability to handle disinfectants and cleaning agents
  • Ability to learn the operation of and handle industry-related tools equipment
  • Ability to be available after hours and weekends for emergencies and some scheduled work
  • Possess a smart phone to perform work-related tasks on apps
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
  • Ability to work from a lift and/or lift certification a plus but not required
  • Cleaning and/or disaster recovery experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable personal transportation

DISASTER RECOVERY TECHNICIAN
